I don't use spreads to calculate winning points. I do, however, list the spreads on the pick sheets for player convenience.

Anyone have a good way for dealing with games that have spreads listed as "Pick", "Even", or "Off the board" ? Not able to enter "0" in the spread field.

I run a spreads pool and in situations that you describe, I assign a point spread of 1.5 for the home team. My players know this so there are no questions about how that spread was entered into the picksheet. This also eliminates ties which was a pain before I instituted this rule.

Just leave the field blank.

When the page is built it will automatically place a 0 in the sread slot.

Great!!! Thank you.

Not sure how this effects Fred's pool using pt spreads for winning calculations but this fits my purpose perfectly. I also realize I can edit the piksheet.htm file manually using FrontPage or other html editors to list the spread as "PK" or "OFF" - a bit of a pain. This is great info - I knew my Woofpool brothers would come up with great solutions.

Just curious - does the '0' spread work OK when running a pool against the spread? Thinking about running a spread pool next year.

Thanks again.

The zero does work in a spread pool but to ensure there is always a winner of a game some of us assign .5 to a team if vegas sets the game as a "PK" or "off the board". Woof is smart enough to handle that when you enter the spreads. That way all games in the season has a winner.
