So I don't have to re-enter all the players in my woof pool each year I have found this to work...
To retain player info from 2007 to 2008:

1) Shut down Woofpool 2008.

2) Delete Woof2008.INI in the Woofpool 2008 directory before copying anything.

3) Copy from Woofpool 2007 directory:
a) Woof2007.INI and rename it to Woof2008.INI
b) Copy POOL.DAT from 2007 to 2008.

4) Restart Woofpool 2008.

5) Under menu item EDITS, Erase players 2007 picks.

BUT!!!! is there an easier way to do #5???  I seem to only be able to go one player at a time and one week at a time and hit clear selections.
This is incredibly monotonous.  24 players and 21 weeks!!!  Do the math...  This sucks...
Is there a global "clear picks" option somewhere?  Even if it were simply "clear week 1" etc... This would reduce the work load tremendously!!!

Thanks in advance!!!
Jer

Ok, I apologize up front for the noob nature of this question.......however, I AM a noob..........therefore: I opened up Woofpool.2008 in Windows Explorer, and searched for the 2008ini file, but couldn't find one. Please help because I would rather not have to re-enter all my members this year.

Thanks!!!!

apology accepted  *4  but jer3038 is bang on
with woofpool 2008 closed
look for \program files\woofpool 2007\pool.dat and \program files\woofpool 2007\woof2007.ini

copy these 2 files to \program files\woofpool 2008\
then rename \program files\woofpool 2008\woof2007.ini to woof2008.ini

start woofpool 2008 and under Edits>Reset Pool data>select reset pool data but keep players then click ok
Your players from last year should now be there as well as your page settings

Will this also apply for moving 2008 to 2009? I'm sure it will, just want others (the gurus) input.

(bumped this because every year there is always someone asking)

In v14 (2009), I hadn't yet started the software.  There was no INI file present in the directory, hence nothing to delete.  Moving and rename still worked fine, but if you don't find the file, don't sweat it.  Also, note the new directory location.

I'm sure it will, but we won't really know for sure until Jim releases the 2001 version of Woofpool. I haven't heard of any program changes as of yet.
